Dues Methods and current Dues
The Georgetown Aero Modelers Association allows you to pay your dues via PayPal (Preferred and fastest way to join), or by check sent via regular US Mail. More information regarding payment of dues is described on Initial Dues Payment Page. Dues are based on some of your personal data. Rate scheduled is below:
Regular: Age 19 to 64 - $60.00
Senior: 65 and Above - $30.00
Junior: 6 to 12 (non-family member) - free
Junior: 13 to 18 (non-family member) - $1.00
Full Time Student: Age 19 to 23 - $1.00
Associate Member - $30.00
You will also be assessed another $10 for a New Member Initiation Fee. This is a one-time only assessment. It pays for your membership card and tag which we request that you wear while at the field or attending club functions.
Application Instructions
The application to join the Georgetown Aero Modelers Association involves joining two organizations.
You must first join the national organization – the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). AMA membership provides you liability insurance. You will also receive a monthly magazine as well as additional mailings. You may also receive a monthly newsletter via email if you sign up for that service.
You may obtain additional information about the AMA membership dues, membership categories and the application form by visiting the AMA web site at www.modelaircraft.org.
You may also obtain an AMA membership application from some hobby shops or you may contact one of the G.A.M.A. officers for assistance. No one may fly at the G.A.M.A. flying field without a valid AMA membership card.
Once you receive your AMA membership card you may apply for membership in the Georgetown Aero Modelers Association. The G.A.M.A. Membership (Regular or senior) is a family membership and includes you, your spouse and any children under the age of 18 who are living in your household.

Club Membership
GAMA membership is renewed on an annual basis as of January 1. The annual fee is prorated for new members per the schedule published on appropriate form.
For new members, the annual fee for the first year will be prorated based on the first day of the current month and based on published schedule (see form for detail).
